Whippet is a 40ft cruiser stern narrowboat built in 1998 by Mike Heywood. This well-maintained vessel offers comfortable and practical living, making it ideal for leisure cruising or a simple life afloat. Recent updates include a newly fitted Beta Marine 38hp engine (installed in November 2023) and a refurbished roof, giving added value and reliability to her next owner.
Inside, the bedroom features a low, non-fixed bed, offering flexibility for those looking to customise the space. The bathroom is fitted with a shower and cassette toilet, with three spare cassettes included for convenience.
The galley includes a fridge, freezer, Thetford gas oven, gas hob, and microwave, offering the essentials for preparing meals onboard. The lounge is a cosy and welcoming space, complete with a sofa, bookcase, and a wood/coal burner for added warmth and charm.
Heating is provided by two electric radiators, while hot water is supplied via a calorifier. The boat is also equipped with mains electric, a starter battery, and three leisure batteries. Front and rear canopies provide additional shelter and usable space at either end of the vessel.
